The current delivery model for mental health care is broken in this country. PsychPlus set out on a mission to reimagine how mental health care is delivered to every American. Our goal is to provide a digital-first, modern approach to psychiatry and therapy. We provide care both in-person at our offices across Texas and virtually so our patients can be seen at their convenience.

Through a combination of exceptional medical and psychological care and best-in-class technology, we provide an unparalleled approach that serves our patients needs in an integrated way. Join us in our mission to ensure that every person has access to affordable and accessible mental health care.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinic Director to oversee the daily operations of our Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a clinical background and strong administrative skills who is passionate about improving access to high-quality mental health care. This role ensures clinical effectiveness, operational efficiency, compliance, and a positive environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of outpatient, PHP, and IOP programs.
  • Monitor and improve clinical workflows, scheduling, and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement program enhancements in response to patient needs and industry trends.
  • Supervise and support licensed therapists, psychiatric providers, and support staff.
  • Ensure clinical documentation and treatment planning align with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to support integrated care approaches.
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation regulations (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).
  • Oversee audits, chart reviews, and incident reporting.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives and track program outcomes.
  • Hire, onboard, and train clinical and administrative staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and ongoing development.
  • Ensure high standards of patient care and satisfaction.
  • Oversee intake, admissions, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for patient or family concerns.
  • Monitor budgets, staffing levels, and resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to support accurate documentation and reimbursements.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to leadership.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE LCSW-ipr licensure
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in a behavioral health setting; experience with outpatient/PHP/IOP/ EAP and crisis evaluations.
  • Master’s degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (required).
  • Proven knowledge of clinical operations, evidence-based practices, and payer requirements.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with EHRs and data analytics tools is a plus.
  • Experience launching new programs or expanding existing service lines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Our goals are to find the best, attract the best, and offer a competitive salary—which is why we prioritize the quality of the hire over the number of hires. We offer zero-stress medical, dental, and vision coverage, competitive salaries, and a generous PTO policy. We are excited to tell you about a few "perks” we offer that are unique to Psychplus. We’ve spent time thinking through what it means to be a modern mental health company and how we can better align these additional perks with our mission and values.

Additional Information

The expected base pay for this role will be between $110,000 and $150,000 annually at the commencement of employment. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Psychplus Health-sponsored benefits.

So—what do you think?

If you’ve made it this far, well, we’re excited to meet you too. Just one more thing that we want you to remember: we pride ourselves on our meritocratic, performance-driven culture.
