Job summary

Northeast Health Services, part of Transformations Care Network, seeks a Clinic Director to lead a community-based outpatient clinic and oversee its operational and financial performance. You will guide a multidisciplinary team and ensure services expand access to high-quality mental health care, supported by shared services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Professional Counseling, or related field and licensure as applicable.
• Active MA LMHC or LICSW licensure if providing clinical services and supervision.
• Experience leading an outpatient mental health team and managing clinic operations.
• Ability to analyze data and use it to drive operational decisions.
• Experience supervising clinicians and supporting professional development.
• Working knowledge of current mental health regulations and standards of care.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and related software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multidisciplinary clinic operations and quality of care.
• Provide budget oversight and manage the clinic PnL.
• Lead and develop clinic staff, manage productivity and performance.
• Monitor staffing and align appointment capacity with demand.
• Collaborate with medical leadership on medication management protocols.
• Provide clinical supervision within licensure scope and board requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Coordinate with Facilities to address site needs.
• Partner with Outreach to strengthen referrals and growth.
• Support new clinic openings and establish local operations.
• Manage service lines including TMS and Spravato® with clinical teams.
• Maintain a therapy caseload of 8–10 clients weekly when applicable.

Education

Master’s degree or higher in Social Work / Clinical Mental Health Counseling / Professional Counseling or related field

Massachusetts LMHC or LICSW licensure (if providing clinical services)

Clinic management / outpatient mental health team leadership

Financial management / clinic PnL

Clinical supervision experience

Regulatory knowledge in mental health care

EMR and software proficiency

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multidisciplinary clinic operations and quality of care.
• Provide budgetary oversight and manage the clinic PnL.
• Lead and develop clinic staff, managing productivity and performance expectations.
• Monitor staffing needs and align appointment capacity with client demand.
• Collaborate with local medical leadership on adherence to medication management protocols.
• Provide clinical supervision within the scope of licensure and applicable board requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Coordinate with Facilities to address site needs.
• Partner with the Outreach team to strengthen referral relationships and support clinic growth.
• Support new clinic openings and establish local operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Professional Counseling, or a board-approved related field from an accredited program meeting applicable licensure requirements.
• Active Massachusetts LMHC or LICSW, if providing clinical services. Meet applicable board requirements for any licensure supervision provided.
• Experience managing an outpatient mental health team and overseeing clinic operations.
• Understanding of clinic financial performance and the ability to use data to guide operational decisions.
• Experience providing clinical supervision and supporting clinician development.
• Working knowledge of mental health regulations and current standards of care.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and other software solutions.

Compensation

Northeast Health Services is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The compensation range for this role is $90,000–$95,000. Actual compensation may vary based on licensure, experience, market-driven enhancements, and incentive opportunities available for this role. These ranges represent our current standard compensation practices and may be adjusted over time to remain competitive and aligned with organizational needs.
