Job summary

Jimmy Jazz seeks an experienced clinic operations leader to oversee the Community Physician Clinic in Marysville and Axtell. You will guide staff orientation, interview and hire, and lead EMR training while ensuring credentialing and safety across sites.

The role requires collaboration with physicians, performance evaluations, and budget monitoring in partnership with the CFO; strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years management/supervisory experience in a physician clinic or medical setting is required.
• Clinical experience preferred.
• EMR experience in a clinic setting is preferred.
• Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner.
• Bachelor's Degree including management or nursing preferred; leadership experience in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the Community Physician Clinic in Marysville and Axtell.
• Provide orientation to clinic policies and procedures for new staff.
• Interview, hire and fire staff for the office/clinic.
• Lead EMR processes including training.
• Ensure credentialing of staff on file.
• Periodically visit branch clinics to review policies.
• Provide leadership aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop staff growth through training and continuing education.
• Complete performance evaluations for staff and probationary periods.
• Counsel employees and manage disciplinary processes as needed.
• Maintain safety and comfort of patients and staff.
• Close work orders with Maintenance for equipment and safety hazards.
• Collaborate with ancillary services to maintain a safe environment.
• Resolve patient complaints.
• Monitor and manage clinic budget with CFO; report accordingly.
• Maintain records and perform planning/meetings; coordinate with medical staff.

Description

The position will oversee the operations of the Community Physician Clinic in Marysville and Axtell.

Provide orientation to basic clinic policies and procedures and familiarize newly hired staff with clinic routines. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and firing of staff for the office/clinic.

Lead Electronic Medical Record processes including training.

Responsible for having appropriate credentialing of staff on file.

Periodically visit the branch clinic to review policies as necessary.

Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational goals and objectives.

Provides for professional growth and development of patient care staff through identification of needs, sponsoring training programs, encouraging education (formal and continuing) efforts and evaluation of same.

Responsible for completion of regular performance evaluations for each staff member; conducts evaluations for new staff prior to completion of probationary period.

Counsels employees, develops staff and, as appropriate, utilizes the disciplinary process.

Responsible for safety and comfort of patients, and the health and safety of staff.

Complete work order for the Maintenance Dept. of issues that arise in order to keep essential equipment in working condition as well as possible safety hazards at the sites.

Collaborates with ancillary support services to provide a safe, clean and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Responsible for resolving patient complaints.

Develops, justifies and maintains a fiscal plan (budget) for the clinic. Monitors patient revenues, expenses and operating expenses (salaries and capital expense items) in conjunction with CFO.

Provides appropriate reports to Administrator or when requested.

Maintains a current awareness of third-party reimbursement regulations and contractual arrangements with HMOs and PPOs in conjunction with CMH.

Monitors utilization of equipment and supplies; orders supplies as needed.

Effectively maintains all required records for the office/clinic; demonstrates good organizational skills.

Plans and conducts staff meetings.

Works with the medical staff to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care.

Participates in performance improvement, including utilization and promotion of familiarization with performance improvement standards and programs.

Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.

Open and distribute mail.

Requirements

Required Minimum of three years management/supervisory experience preferably in a physician clinic or medical setting. Clinical experience preferred.

Previous experience with EMR in a clinic setting.

Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner.

Preferred Requirements: Bachelors Degree to inlude management or nursing. Previous leadership experience in a clinic setting.
