Description of Work

The Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln is seeking a full-time Director of the Counseling and School Psychology Clinic in the Department of Educational Psychology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leadership, strategic direction, and administration of the psychology training clinic, and will maintain its commitment to providing high-quality mental health services to the community and top-tier professional level training to the students in the Counseling and School Psychology Masters and Doctoral Programs. The new Director will be joining the department at an exciting time, as it is poised for growth and innovation in expanding its reach within the community and developing more diverse, cutting-edge training opportunities for our graduate students.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate in an APA -accredited Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology program.
  • Two years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified, including successfully building a private practice, clinical supervision and administration/leadership.
  • Knowledge of psychological clinical science training.
  • Ability to treat common psychological disorders.
  • Marketing skills for psychological services.
  • Knowledgeable with budgets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and supervise others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision in psychotherapy and/or assessment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to empirically supported treatments.
  • Evidence of ability to treat common psychological disorders.
  • Working knowledge of the psychological clinical science training model.
  • Evidence of capacity to develop external practicum placements for students.
  • Active clinical practice in intervention and/or assessment.
  • Demonstrated marketing skills for psychological services.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing budgets.
