Job Summary
The Clinical Assistant provides direct or indirect care under physician supervision, addressing urgent, emergent, or preventive health issues. Responsibilities include general patient care, assisting with procedures, documentation, and patient/family education.
Education and Experience
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant, nursing, or respiratory program required.
- Experience preferred but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current certification/license from one of the following:
- Certified Medical Assistant (American Association of Medical Assistants)
- Registered Medical Assistant (American Medical Technologists)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (National Health Career Association)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (National Center for Competency Testing)
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (National Association for Health Professionals)
- Active LPN or RN license in the state of employment
- Active national and state RRT license
- CPR certification required.
