Job summary

Covenant Health is seeking a Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse for the Oliver Springs Family Physician outpatient clinic. This is a full-time, day-shift role (80 hours per pay period).

The LPN must be licensed in Tennessee with BLS certification. Responsibilities include patient assessment, vital signs, assisting with exams, medication administration, teaching patients, and coordinating care within a team-based approach.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN in Tennessee.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in outpatient clinic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs and weight.
• Assist provider with examinations and procedures (phlebotomy, injections, suturing).
• Administer medications per orders and policy.
• Triage calls and schedule appointments as needed.
• Maintain medical records and patient confidentiality.
• Educate patients and provide wellness information.
• Coordinate referrals and pre-certifications when required.
