Job summary

Pali Momi Medical Center, part of Hawaii Pacific Health, is seeking a Clinic Assistant to support routine clinical operations and patient care. Per Diem role with rotating 8-hour shifts, located at Pali Momi Medical Center on O‘ahu.

The position requires basic qualifications and a drive to learn in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS CPR, and some back-office medical experience; Epic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred or equivalent experience.
• One year back office medical assistant experience preferred in outpatient setting or physician's office.
• Experience with Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks from monitoring supplies to assisting patient care.
• Support departmental staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Provide care to patients of all ages as needed.

With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women’s center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state’s first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.

The Pali Momi Surgical Clinic provides comprehensive outpatient services for the adult patient needing surgical care. Our highly trained medical professionals continue to bring innovative surgical therapies that maximize patient safety and comfort while minimizing down time. We provide an array of surgical services, including minimally invasive services, the Da Vinci robot, and an accredited bariatric surgery program (Metabolic Bariatric Surgery Accreditation & Quality Improvement).

You could gain valuable first-hand clinical operations and health care experience as a Clinic Assistant. In this role you would perform routine tasks ranging from monitoring supplies to administering health care to patients of all ages to supporting departmental staff. Minimum Qualifications: High School Graduate or equivalent. Current American Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.

Preferred Qualifications: Basic medical terminology. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician’s office, or related experience. Experience with Epic.
