Job summary

Phillips County Health Systems is seeking a Clinic Assistant/Roomer to greet patients, room patients, and assist care teams in a fast-paced clinic in Phillipsburg, KS. You will obtain vitals, confirm medication lists, and document in the EMR while keeping rooms disinfected and organized.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; CNA/CMA/CCMA and CPR certification are preferred. A team-focused, compassionate attitude is essential to support timely patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; CNA/CMA/CCMA preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• CPR certification may be required per clinic policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, room patients, and assist with care.
• Obtain vitals and document information in EMR.
• Notify providers when patients are ready for exam.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure infection control standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate records.
• Assist in inventory management of supplies and instruments.
• Participate in staff training and in‑service meetings.

Job Description:

Position Summary: Primary functions include greeting, rooming, and assisting patients. Obtain vitals, medication information, collect medical information from patients, and document in the electronic medical record. Job Duties:

• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Ability to function independently or as a member of a team.
• Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration, and pulse.
• Notifies providers when patients are ready for examination/treatment, following routine assessment of vital signs and medication list to assure patients are seen in a timely fashion as well as keeping rooms full for consistent flow of patients.
• Help maintain inventory of instruments, drugs, serums, and medical supplies, etc., and notify the Supervisor of ordering concerns to assure continued stock and supply.
• Prioritizes assignments to complete tasks in a timely and professional manner
• Provides assistance to patients.
• Keeps exam rooms clean and sanitized between use.
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient data.
• Maintains patient records and charts to ensure an accurate record of medical treatment.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy.
• Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings as required.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification: CNA, CMA, or CCMA, preferred. CPR Certification.
