Job summary

COLORADO ALLERGY & ASTHMA CENTERS in Castle Rock, CO is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a full-time, day-shift position. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision and coordinate front desk duties to ensure smooth clinic flow.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, CPR certification, and HepB vaccination, with a positive, team-focused attitude for a patient-centered atmosphere.

Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week (four - 9-hour days)

Position Purpose: This non-exempt, full-time position is responsible for direct and indirect care of adult and pediatric patients under the direction of the physicians, Clinic Manager and Office Administrative Manager. We are looking for a positive, experienced, responsible individual to contribute depth & knowledge to our busy practice.

Responsibilities

• Shows competency as a Medical Office Assistant.
• Shows competency in Clinic Assistant I and II Skill Modules within 120 days of employment; Clinic Assistant III Skill Modules within first year of employment.
• Shows competency in basic computer skills.
• Assures patient satisfaction by working as a team member with all personnel.
• Front Desk & Cross-Training duties, to include:
  • Answering front desk phones.
  • Check in/check out of patients.
  • Scheduling appointments.
  • Processing billing and insurance information.
  • Showing compliance with insurance regulations.
• Demonstrates flexibility, professionalism and a high-level of motivation.
• Maintains open communication and a team-oriented work environment with all departments and all levels of personnel.
• Takes initiative and is a self-starter.
• Performs additional duties as deemed necessary.OSHA and HIPAA Compliant.

Prerequisites:

• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant School or
• Licensed Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, hold a Biology Degree, or
• Combination of experience and education.
• Current CPR Certification.
• HepB vaccination.
