Open Eyes Vision Center is seeking a reliable and compassionate Clinic Assistant to join our Garland, McKinney, and Mesquite area clinics. This full-time position blends patient care with administrative support, with Saturdays required and days off rotated.

Role includes both clinical tasks and front-desk duties, with opportunities for advancement as the team grows. On-site position with experience-based salary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior medical/optometry office experience preferred but not required (training provided).
• Excellent customer service, multitasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clinical duties: prepare exam rooms, escort patients, record medical history, perform basic pre-tests, educate patients, restock supplies.
• Administrative duties: greet check-in, schedule appointments, keep reception area clean, assist with lead/manager tasks.

Clinic Assistant- Full Time

Open Eyes Vision Center is seeking a reliable and compassionate Clinic Assistant to join our clinics located in Garland, McKinney, and occasionally Mesquite. This role combines patient care with administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations and an excellent patient experience. Saturdays are required.

Schedule:

5 days per week with Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays required. Days off are Sunday, plus Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday based on clinic staffing. Salary based on experience.

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

• Prepare exam rooms and sanitize equipment
• Escort patients, record medical history, and perform basic pre-tests (auto-refraction, tonometry, visual acuity)
• Educate patients on eye health and contact lens care
• Monitor and restock clinical supplies

Administrative Duties:

• Greet and assist patients at check-in
• Schedule appointments
• Keep clinic and reception areas clean and welcoming
• Opportunities for Lead Assistant or Assistant Manager include checking patients in, checking out and benefit verification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Prior medical/optometry office experience preferred but not required (training provided))
• Excellent customer service, multitasking, and communication skills
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; lift up to 25 lbs
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
