Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Carmel, IN seeks a clinical assistant to support a high-volume PM&R and sports medicine practice. The role covers both clinical and clerical duties, aiding patients and physicians, documenting in EMR, and coordinating tests and communications.

• Scribe patient information into the EMR system
• Retrieve patient information from EMR system
• Conduct preliminary patient evaluations
• Communicate information with patients as directed by physician
• Provide appropriate patient education regarding injuries
• Manage and prioritize phone calls and electronic communication
• Schedule patient testing
• Obtain prior authorizations

Summary/objective

The clinical assistant provides clinical support in a high-volume practice to a provider specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. The position is responsible for a wide variety of clinical and clerical duties.
