Inside Passage Counseling in Bellingham, WA seeks a Clinical Director to lead supervision, training, and clinical operations. This role reports to the founder and supports team culture while driving service quality.

The ideal candidate has licensure supervision experience and expertise in modalities such as IFS, EMDR, EFT, or Gottman, and can maintain a reduced caseload of 12–15 clients weekly while expanding community outreach.

Qualifications

Inside Passage Counseling is hiring for a full-time clinical director at our beautiful downtown Bellingham location.

We are a group of passionate, committed clinicians and admin staff with a focus on evidence-based, gold standards of psychotherapy, including EMDR, IFS, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Founded by Heather Varnau, Level 3 & Certified IFS Therapist and Approved Clinical Consultant, Certified EFT Couples Therapist and Supervisor, and Level 3 Gottman Method Couples Therapist, our practice serves individual adults, couples, children, teens, families, and groups. We pride ourselves in walking our talk and supporting a connected, high-quality work experience for our amazing clinicians and support staff.

The Role

We are looking for the right person to lead our clinical team through supervision, training, and all aspects of maintaining our high standard of clinical practice. You will directly report to our founder, support our team culture, and help our group thrive and grow.

This role will be perfect for you if:

• You love supporting clinicians in the practice of ethical and competent psychotherapy
• You are warm, able to maintain appropriate boundaries, a great communicator, able to give hard feedback when needed, will work collaboratively with our leadership team, are passionate about our practice vision, you can hold our business needs equally with supporting clinician and client needs
• You are experienced in providing supervision for licensure, even better if you can provide supervision of supervision
• You are highly trained or certified in one of our primary modalities (IFS, EMDR, EFT, or Gottman Method)
  You can stay calm in the face of client crisis, are knowledgeable about clinical documentation, and have an exceptional ability to case conceptualize
• You want to see a reduced client caseload of 12-15 clients weekly
• You want to contribute positively to our group culture, vision, and expanding our reach in the community
• You enjoy training therapists in-house or arranging outside trainings
• You can guide clinical onboarding for new team members
• You enjoy community outreach, developing referral partnerships, and spreading the word about our wonderful therapy services

Compensation and Benefits

$109,200 to $120,200/year, salaried and exempt, plus:
