Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care under the supervision of the RN or Patient Care Manager. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help ensure PFCC principles are applied.

Responsibilities include collecting data (weights, temperature, pulse, respiration and BP), performing non-sterile treatments, phlebotomy when assigned, and maintaining excellent interpersonal interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be a CNA or have certification prior to orientation.
• If not certified, must have completed one clinical nursing rotation and be enrolled in a nursing program.
• One year of patient care experience is preferred.

• Conduct daily patient care activities including activities of daily living and comfort measures.

Under the direct supervision of the RN or Patient Care Manager, performs duties of daily patient care which include bath and assistance with activities of daily living, data collection on weight, temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure measurements. Qualifications

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent. Must be a CNA or complete certification prior to completion oforientation or has completed one clinical nursing school rotation and currently enrolled in a nursing program.

EXPERIENCE

One (1) year patient care experience (EKG, Phlebotomy, Nurse Aide, Nurse Technician) preferred.
