Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Inc. is seeking an IT Clinical Optimization Analyst I to facilitate, coordinate, and implement clinical systems in a healthcare setting.

You will work with end users to ensure effective utilization, assess workflows, and participate in onboarding and training. This role requires strong communication, problem solving, and ability to work both independently and in a team, with potential after-hour support and cross-functional collaboration across IT and clinical

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a health care field or equivalent experience required.
  • Two years of clinical or clinical IT experience in a health care setting required.
  • One year of experience with an EMR system required.
  • Experience creating and implementing workflows in a clinical setting preferred.

  • Troubleshoots, solves, and documents incidents using the hospital ticketing system.

Position Summary

The IT Clinical Optimization Analyst I facilitates, communicates, and coordinates the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of various clinical systems in a healthcare environment. Serving as a supporting resource, this role establishes and fosters connections with end users to ensure effective utilization of the clinical systems. The position contributes to assessing and refining workflow processes, proactive rounding within departments, shadowing end users, providing elbow support, and attending orientations to assist with new hire setup.

Position Qualifications
Education
  • 1. High school diploma or equivalent. Required
  • 2. Bachelors Degree in a Health Care field, or equivalent combination of post-secondary education or experience. Required
Experience
  • 1. Two (2) years of clinical or clinical IT experience working in a health care setting. Required
  • 2. One (1) year of experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Required
  • 3. Experience with creating and implementing workflows in a clinical setting. Preferred
Special Skills
  • 1. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Required
  • 2. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Comfortable training and/or presenting content in meetings with moderate to large audiences. Required
  • 3. Self-driven and able to work autonomously when needed. Demonstrates timeliness and is able to meet deadlines and stay organized. Required
  • 4. Able to work nights and/or weekends as needed. Required
