The Climbing Wall Assistant at the City of Nampa supports climbing wall programs with instruction, safety oversight, and participant engagement. Working under the Shift Manager, you will ensure a safe environment for climbers of all ages and abilities while promoting recreation participation in a city facility.

You will handle instruction, safety monitoring, and basic administrative tasks, with hours that fit program schedules, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of climbing wall techniques, equipment uses, and life-saving methods.
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and injury prevention/treatment principles.
• Knowledge of safety standards and program goals in climbing activities.
• Ability to interact with diverse groups and maintain organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Instructs or assists with wall climbing programs for various ages and skill levels.
• Collaborates with leadership to meet activity objectives and maintain engagement.
• Provides program information and promotes recreation opportunities to patrons.
• Plans group and individual promotional activities to boost participation.
• Coordinates responses to climbing incidents and completes accident reports.
