Job summary

Associated Students SDSU is seeking a Climbing Supervisor to lead climbing wall operations, instructional classes, and team-building programs in a dynamic university setting in San Diego, CA.

The role oversees daily operations, risk management, scheduling, staff development, and collaboration with Aztec Recreation Marketing. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with two years’ supervisory experience in campus climbing programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in a relevant field (Kinesiology/Recreation/PE)
• Two years of supervisory/management experience in recreation climbing programs required
• Experience in a college campus environment preferred
• Experience hiring, training, evaluating and supervising staff

Responsibilities

• Supervise planning, organization, and implementation of climbing programs
• Hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate program staff
• Ensure programs comply with policies and safety procedures
• Maintain climbing wall and equipment; oversee maintenance
• Assist with promotional materials and social media content
• Complete program assessments for operations and programs
