Job summary

Touchstone Climbing in Oakland, CA is seeking a Shift Supervisor to manage front desk operations, memberships, and customer service excellence across our 18 gyms in California. The role includes training staff, coordinating events, and supporting social media and facilities needs.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to teach and engage groups of varying ages and abilities.
• Attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Comfort with computers and POS systems.
• Knowledge of climbing techniques and belay systems preferred (training provided if needed).
• CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to obtain (training provided).
• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended shifts.
• Available regularly during peak hours with the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead front desk operations and set high service standards.
• Manage complex memberships and member inquiries.
• Coordinate social media and communications for the location.
• Assist with incident reporting and facilities needs.
• Oversee staff scheduling and training.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness through facility walkthroughs.
• Support climbing education events and youth programs.
• Collaborate with management on staffing and performance feedback.
