Job summary

Sportrock is seeking an Events and Programs Coordinator to drive gym events and program development on a full-time basis. You will lead large community events, monthly gatherings, and frequent micro-activations while coordinating with gym leadership and marketing.

The role emphasizes customer experience, staff training, and creating memorable climbing experiences across all ability levels, with responsibilities spanning operations, onboarding, and risk management.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leadership/management experience preferred.
• Team environment capability required.
• Self-motivated with high standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Rock climbing experience or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Organize 1 massive community event each quarter with 300+ participants.
• Organize 1 small-scale community event each month with 50+ participants.
• Organize at least 3 micro-activations per week with 5–20+ participants.
• Schedule and ensure smooth operations for all non-youth programs in the gym.
• Organize monthly 1:1s with all adult programs instructors.
• Coordinate staffing and programs with gym leadership.
• Collaborate with other locations to share or implement successful programs.
