Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a motivated trainee Arborist to join our on-site team in Albuquerque, NM. You’ll start by learning tree climbing, pruning, and safe removal techniques as part of a crew, with increasing responsibility as you gain skills.

Qualifications

• Love of outdoors is essential.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping or working at heights preferred.
• Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Learn to climb trees and work as part of a tree crew.
• Progressively learn pruning and removal skills for clients.
• Learn to install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Assist in removal of hazardous trees and maintain all tools and equipment.
