The Davey Tree Expert Company in Richmond, VA is seeking a Climbing Arborist to join our greenspace stewardship team. Your office is outdoors and you’ll care for trees in diverse environments, using climbing systems to prune and remove limbs for health and safety.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and willingness to work outside.
• Preferred: background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Able to complete orientation and safety courses upon hire.
• Relevant pesticide/licenses may be required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform pruning and removal tasks safely and skillfully for clients.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, lifts).
• Collaborate with ground crew and crew leader to complete jobs.
