The Davey Tree Expert Company is hiring a Climbing Arborist to perform outdoor tree care in Needham, MA. You’ll climb using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS, work with a crew, and prune or remove trees safely while maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Licenses/certificates related to pesticides or state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Work as an active crew member with ground crew and crew leader.
• Prune and remove trees safely; install cables, bracing and lightning protection.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, lifts, etc.).
