Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a climbing arborist to join our outdoors-based team. You’ll trim and remove trees, prune canopies, and work with a crew to deliver safe, high-quality tree care on site.

This is a permanent, full-time on-site role with on-the-job training through our orientation program, First Aid/CPR and defensive driving courses. We offer competitive pay, PTO, health plan, a 401(k) match, employee ownership, and opportunities for career advancement

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees and operate with the crew.
• Perform pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees as needed.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment.
