Position Overview

Trim and remove trees, eliminate unwanted, diseased, or dying limbs to promote the health and safety of trees and surrounding areas by performing the following duties.

Compensation

$35 - $35 Hourly (Based on experience)

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Operate as an active crew member supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients, including:
• Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Proper maintenance, preparation, and operation of tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, etc.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete Davey First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire
• Preferred relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if legally required
