Job summary

Sunstall Inc. is seeking an experienced Class A climber to perform tree climbing and rigging for land clearing and vegetation management projects. The role ensures safe and efficient removal of trees and limbs in areas inaccessible to equipment.

Ideal candidates have advanced climbing skills, rope and rigging experience, and a strong safety commitment. Travel to job sites is required with per diem provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional climbing experience (land clearing, utility, or treeservice).
• Strong knowledge of climbing systems, knots, and rigging techniques.

Responsibilities

• Safely climb trees using ropes, saddles, and other gear to remove limbs and whole trees.
• Perform rigging operations to safely lower large limbs and sections of trees.
• Operate chainsaws and other tree-care equipment aloft and on the ground.
• Communicate with ground crew to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Inspect climbing and rigging equipment daily and report defects or concerns.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA, ANSI, and company guidelines.
• Assist with debris removal, cleanup, and land-clearing tasks as needed.
• Train and mentor junior crewmembers in safe climbing techniques and ground support.
