Job summary

Greentown Labs in Somerville, MA is seeking a Portfolio Development Manager to bridge startup intake with fellowship programs and to ensure a strong applicant pipeline for the incubator.

You will lead startup recruitment, manage Salesforce data, coordinate mentors and fellows, and partner with teams to deliver tailored programming and reach ambitious growth goals for climate tech startups.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in startup operations, incubator/accelerator programs, partnership coordination, or customer/client operations.
• Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects and keep programs moving forward smoothly.
• Solid experience using CRMs (such as Salesforce) for pipeline tracking and basic reporting.
• Passion for climate technology, entrepreneurship, and environmental justice.

Responsibilities

• Manage Startup Applications: oversee recruitment operations for new member applicants at the Massachusetts location, including screening, communications, interviews, and contract coordination.
• Proactive Founder Outreach: map regional climate tech ecosystem to identify and build relationships with promising early-stage entrepreneurs.
• Lead Qualification: screen inbound inquiries and referrals against incubator criteria, evaluating stage and program readiness.
• Pipeline Tracking & Data Integrity: maintain accurate candidate data and pipeline stages in Salesforce from initial contact through onboarding.
• Recruitment Events: plan and execute digital and in-person prospecting events, workshops, and pitch sessions.
• Program Operations & Grant Compliance: execute day-to-day operations for the First Valley Fellowship and ensure grant reporting obligations are fulfilled.
