UC Agriculture and Natural Resources invites applications for a UC Cooperative Extension Area Advisor (Assistant rank) to lead an innovative citrus program across Tulare, Fresno, and Madera Counties.

The advisor will craft problem-solving education and applied research addressing warmer temperatures, water constraints, and nutrient management, collaborating with engineering, pathology, and entomology teams.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in horticulture, pomology, crop physiology, agroecology, plant nutrition, plant pathology, or related field.
• Experience with applied, impact‑oriented research in citrus or related field.
• Ability to collaborate across UC ANR program teams and external partners.
• Willingness to travel across Tulare, Fresno, and Madera counties and work on-site.

Mansioni

• Develops multi-county applied research and extension education programs for California citrus producers.
• Addresses priority challenges such as water management, nutrient management, and pest/disease control (HLB).
• Collaborates with engineers, plant pathologists, entomologists, and industry partners to translate research into practical tools.
• Delivers workshops, field meetings, webinars, and outreach to growers and industry stakeholders.
