Qualifications

• Commitment to climate justice and environmental equity.
• Ability to perform hands-on outdoor work.

• Interest in agriculture, sustainability, or environmental justice.
• Experience gardening/farming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, maintain drip irrigation and rainwater harvesting systems.
• Document steps and support development of replicable toolkits.
• Deliver hands-on workshops on sustainable water management and climate-resilient farming.
• Support curriculum design for the Rising Roots youth program.
• Create accessible training materials and demonstrations.
• Track system performance and water-use reduction.
• Conduct feedback sessions with farmers and youth.
• Develop how-to guides, success stories, and best-practice documentation.
• Participate in community events, farm tours, and outreach.
• Work with partners like Pierce Conservation District, Tilth Alliance, and WSU Extension.
• Strengthen peer-to-peer learning among youth and farmers.
