The Center for Climate Integrity seeks a Limited-Duration Policy Consultant to support the Political department in research, analysis, and advocacy.

Reporting to the Political Director, the consultant will analyze state bills, prepare briefs, engage stakeholders, and help draft testimony while ensuring compliance and rigorous data-driven recommendations. This remote, eight-month assignment emphasizes independent work and collaboration with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in legislative affairs or public policy analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting policy documents and advocacy materials.
• Experience with climate or corporate accountability legal issues.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills; synthesize complex information into clear recs.

Responsabilités

• Policy research and analysis of state legislation and impacts.
• Represent CCI in meetings, hearings, and public forums; present policy analysis.
• Prepare advocacy materials and testimony for legislative hearings.
• Review legislative messaging for accuracy.
• Monitor state legislation and provide timely updates to leadership.
• Track lobbying hours and ensure compliance with regulations.
