Job summary

MN350 seeks a Political Manager to bridge climate justice organizing with policy engagement across Minnesota. You will work with the Executive Director, staff, and volunteers to guide internal stakeholders on winnable policy issues at local and state levels, aligning activism with political opportunity.

The role requires navigating complex political processes, building broad coalitions, and translating grassroots energy into public action.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in electoral politics, issue advocacy, lobbying or movement building
• 2+ years in political organizing with leadership roles
• Strong organizational, analytical and relationship-building skills
• Experience navigating nonprofit environments and coalitions

Responsibilities

• Build power by engaging policymakers at city, county, state and federal levels
• Arrange political meetings for the Executive Director and draft statements
• Align grassroots organizing with a winnable political change agenda
• Identify where MN350 should invest political energy for Just Transition
• Advise on strategy to influence climate justice policy in Minnesota
• Collaborate with staff to inform internal and external communications
