Job summary

Rhodium Group in New York, NY seeks a Research Analyst to join the Climate Impact Projects team, with hybrid work and opportunities to contribute to climate research tools and datasets.

You will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, build web tools, and support external outreach with reports, interactives, and databases. Strong Python skills and climate data experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s with at least 2 years of relevant experience in earth science/data science/economics or related field.
• Proficiency in Python; R is a plus.
• Strong math and statistics background with ability to manipulate large datasets, climate data a plus.
• Ability to translate data into interactive web apps using Streamlit/Plotly Dash; quick learners for Flask/JavaScript.
• Experience collaborating across academia and industry and communicating findings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statistical analyses, summary statistics, and data visualizations for reports and outreach.
• Develop lightweight web applications to share research and data with specific audiences or as prototypes.
• Process and analyze climate, climate impact, and socioeconomic datasets using Python and Jupyter notebooks.
• Define requirements for research/outreach products based on use case and audience.
• Contribute to narratives that communicate key analysis results.
