Job summary

HeartShare is seeking a Transportation Specialist to coordinate transportation, escort clients to appointments, and supervise them in transit. The role includes organizing transports, tracking details, maintaining vehicles, and ensuring safety during travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver license and at least one year of driving experience.
• Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications.
• Time management and organizational skills to stay on schedule.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients.
• Ability to travel within the 5 boroughs of NYC, Long Island, and Westchester.
• Willing to perform DSP duties in emergencies if needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates transportation, escorts clients, and supervises them during transit.
• Maintains a daily roster of transport details (times, destinations, transporters, duration).
• Inspects and maintains vehicle logs, cleanliness, and safety equipment.
• Videos vehicle security, keys, and gas cards per policy; reports issues to maintenance.
• Ensures vehicles are fueled and ready; monitors receipts and fuel use.
• Safely escorts clients, including prolonged walking or climbing stairs when needed.
• Performs lifting and physical activities as required.
