This role serves as the primary technical advisor and on‑site technical lead for client engagements, ensuring healthcare facilities, infrastructure, end‑user environments, medical devices, and supporting technologies are prepared for successful Oracle Health system deployment and adoption. The Technical Engagement Lead works closely with client stakeholders, Oracle Health teams, clinical engineering, infrastructure teams, third‑party vendors, and delivery consultants to coordinate and guide all technical implementation activities from assessment through go‑live and stabilization.

The position combines strategic technical consulting, healthcare infrastructure expertise, operational leadership, and hands‑on deployment coordination to ensure technical readiness across acute care hospitals, ambulatory clinics, business office centers, and ancillary healthcare environments.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 1. Serve as the primary technical engagement lead and client‑facing technical advisor during Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) implementation and deployment projects.
  • 2. Conduct comprehensive current‑state technical readiness assessments for healthcare facilities, including infrastructure, networking, wireless coverage, medical devices, end‑user computing environments, and physical deployment spaces.
  • 3. Evaluate patient care areas, clinical workspaces, and operational environments for technical deployment readiness, including space planning for devices, carts, monitors, patient beds, workstations, and related equipment.
  • 4. Assess technical infrastructure requirements including power availability, network drops, wireless coverage, device connectivity, and environmental readiness to support Oracle Health workflows and technologies.
  • 5. Lead technical planning and coordination activities related to hardware deployment, medical device integration, infrastructure dependencies, systems connectivity, and data interoperability.
  • 6. Identify technical risks, gaps, constraints, and dependencies that could impact implementation success and develop mitigation and remediation plans.
  • 7. Coordinate and guide cross‑functional technical teams including infrastructure, networking, clinical engineering, endpoint management, interface, imaging, and deployment resources.
  • 8. Collaborate with client IT leadership, operational stakeholders, clinicians, and third‑party vendors to align technical solutions with organizational and operational requirements.
  • 9. Support technical solution design validation, deployment sequencing, implementation planning, and go‑live preparation activities.
  • 10. Oversee device cataloging, asset management, and technical inventory activities associated with implementation readiness and deployment planning.
  • 11. Facilitate technical discovery sessions and workflow assessments to ensure alignment between technical capabilities and operational needs.
  • 12. Provide hands‑on technical leadership and issue resolution support during implementation events, cutovers, go‑live activities, and stabilization periods.
  • 13. Monitor implementation progress, technical milestones, and deployment activities to ensure work is completed according to project timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.
  • 14. Communicate technical concepts, implementation risks, and deployment status effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • 15. Ensure technical solutions and deployment activities comply with healthcare security, privacy, regulatory, and operational standards including HIPAA requirements.
  • 16. Contribute to operational improvement initiatives, technical standards development, documentation, and knowledge sharing across delivery teams.
  • 17. Operate with a high degree of independence and professional judgment while coordinating multiple technical workstreams in complex healthcare environments.
JOB SCOPE

The Technical Engagement Lead operates as a senior technical consultant and implementation leader responsible for guiding complex technical deployment activities within healthcare environments. Work is highly varied and requires broad technical expertise across healthcare infrastructure, systems integration, networking, medical device environments, deployment operations, and Oracle Health technologies.

This position works independently with significant client interaction and coordination responsibilities, often serving as the primary technical escalation and decision‑making resource during implementation activities. The role requires balancing strategic planning, technical consulting, operational coordination, and hands‑on deployment leadership across multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines.

The Technical Engagement Lead is expected to identify and resolve technical challenges proactively, coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage implementation risks, and ensure successful technical readiness and deployment outcomes for healthcare clients.

  • 4. Strong understanding of healthcare technical environments including networking, wireless infrastructure, endpoint technologies, medical devices, systems integration, and clinical workflows.
