Job Summary:

DDC IT Services is seeking a Computer Service Technician to join our Wright Patterson Air Force Base Team. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands, seeking supervisory assistance as appropriate.

This resource will work directly with other Service Technicians to provide primary, secondary, and/or advanced support to senior Air Force personnel. Responsibilities include maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting errors, maintaining internet connectivity, running diagnostic tests, maintaining servers, repairing hardware, and providing technical support.

Duties include installing software patches, diagnosing and repairing problems, monitoring networks, repairing server errors, resolving hard disk failures, configuring software and drivers, performing system upgrades, promoting data security, managing workstations, and documenting best practices. Your technical expertise will help improve efficiency, achieve metrics, enhance customer service, and ensure optimal computer system operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide hardware/software support - installation, updates, configuration, troubleshooting
• Support IT equipment including servers, PCs, printers, scanners, laptops, switches, routers, PDAs, video conferencing, and peripherals
• Ensure applications and hardware meet user requirements
• Support CAC deployment, card readers, middleware, and PKI certificates
• Support onsite and remote customers as needed
• Assist with software/hardware refreshes, upgrades, and configuration - Windows, MS Office, Active Directory
• Coordinate warranty repairs with vendors

What We're Looking For:

IT support personnel capable of providing varying levels of support based on experience:

• Level 1: Initial contact, first-touch resolution, troubleshooting via phone or remote desktop, incident reporting
• Level 2: Resolve issues not fixed at Level 1, detailed analysis, remote management, VIP SLA compliance
• Level 3: Hands-on support, disassembly/reassembly, imaging, data transfer, software reinstallation, support for printers/scanners, dispatch to user location if needed

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• One of the qualifying IAT Level II certifications: CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP
• Minimum High School diploma
• 6 months to 3 years of experience
