Job summary

Pace is seeking a Client Services Technician in Lexington, VA to support the sample receiving department of our environmental testing laboratory. You’ll receive training to grow a career in laboratory sciences while contributing to important work that protects health and safety.

Key responsibilities include coordinating shipping/receiving, processing and administration, keeping documentation up to date, and training on lab support policies and practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, stand for long periods, and wear PPE while handling samples.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping and receiving, processing and administration.
• Maintain and update documentation and databases.
• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate and perform sample‑related activities, including shipping and receiving, processing and administration
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases
• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred, but not required
• Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses and gloves; all PPE provided by Pace®)
