Job description

Client Services Specialist - Beverly Hills, CA

Interviews and determines customer’s banking needs. Assists in selecting accounts and services best suited for the customer’s particular needs and requirements. Accurately and efficiently opens and cross-sells new accounts and bank products. Processes teller transactions as necessary. Performs to standards that meet or exceed the Bank’s objectives and fulfills the expectations of all internal and external customers. Represents the Bank in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Open new accounts utilizing the Bank’s new account platform.
  • Accurately produce signature cards and other documents, disclosures timely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a high level of service to Bank Customers.
  • Assist customers with problem resolution to maintain high customer satisfaction. Act as the initial escalation point for problem resolution.
  • Proficient in all teller, safe deposit, ATM balancing, and related systems platforms.
  • Understand legal documentation requirements for both consumer and business accounts.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, copying, scanning.
  • Answer general phone inquiries, resolve customer inquiries, or forward calls as appropriate.
  • Conduct all Teller functions as necessary, following all related policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of bank staff, customers, and outside contacts.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and act on them as appropriate.
  • Serve as backup as needed.

BANK SECRECY ACT REQUIREMENTS

This position involves interaction with customers and employees, including responsibilities related to BSA/AML. The employee must report suspicious activity to the BSA Officer as appropriate, understand and follow the Bank’s BSA/AML policies, and comply with the Bank’s compliance program.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES REQUIRED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Minimum 3-5 years banking client service and operations experience.
  • Knowledge of Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Customer focus, approachability, effective communication skills.
  • Technical skills, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Teamwork and composure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to talk or listen.
  • Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands or arms.
  • Required to sit for long periods.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to focus.
  • Occasional travel between banking offices may be required.
