Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Trust Associate III in Houston, TX to manage a book of CLOs and Leverage Finance client relationships, deliver high-quality services, and oversee day-to-day operations with minimal supervision.

You will interact with asset managers, investors, auditors, and rating agencies while coordinating with operations to ensure accurate payments and reports. Prior experience in corporate trust is valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience or similar field.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• General banking operations knowledge including deposit operations and treasury management.
• Regulatory and legal compliance obligations knowledge.
• TranStar experience preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create technical report specifications from indenture language.
• Set up payment calculations in in-house systems.
• Receive, map, and reconcile periodic collateral data.
• Compile monthly, quarterly and annual payment and tax reports.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure correct payments.
• Perform QC of reports for timeliness and accuracy.
• Run portfolio compliance tests on structured fixed income deals.
• Interact with asset managers, investors, auditors, and rating agencies.
• Ensure excellent service delivery to Loan Clients in Corporate Trust.
• Lead new client proposals and business-related projects.
• Make tax elections, file EINs, and track residual holder transfers.

You'll be assigned a book of clients that are managing Collateral Loan Obligations (CLOs) and Leverage Finance Facilities. You'll also be working on day-to-day operations and reporting delivery to those clients. You'll need minimal supervision for all the day-to-day activities being executed and you'll manage deals independently.

• Responsible for creating technical report specifications from indenture language.

What You'll Need

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Intermediate to advanced TranStar experience preferred.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

Compensation: Hourly range for new hires is generally $38.00 for Boston, MA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
