Job summary

Holmes Murphy & Associates invites applications for a Client Service Specialist in Waukee, IA. You will support our Select team, handling certificates, binders, auto ID cards, and client inquiries while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma with a preference for college, 0–1 year in administrative or customer service work (insurance preferred), and an active or soon-to-be Property Casualty license within three months.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Experience: 0–1 year in administrative, customer service, or office work, preferably in insurance.
• Licensing: Active state Property Casualty Insurance license or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
• Technical competencies: Understand insurance principles to advise clients on risk transfer, financial elements, and business transactions; comply with standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepares certificates, binders, and auto ID cards.
• Ensure accuracy of invoicing and work with accounting to resolve any discrepancies.
• Order policy changes from carriers, update agency management system/exposure schedules and set follow-up tasks.
• Investigates and corrects omitted items and commission differences on premium discrepancies (policies, audits and endorsements).
• Review, process, and deliver policy audits to clients.
• Update agency management system and third-party platforms related to new and existing clients.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 0-1 year of administrative, customer service, or office experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
• Licensing: Active state specific Property Casualty Insurance agent's license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
• Technical Competencies: Invest in understanding and applying insurance principles to advise clients on risk transfer, financial elements, and business transactions. Contribute to workflows and processes to deliver a world-class client experience while adhering to compliance requirements. Foster client relationships by understanding their needs, prioritizing deliverables, and proactively delivering impactful solutions.
