Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals in Highlands Ranch, CO is seeking a friendly Client Service Representative to join our team. You will greet clients, schedule exams, process payments, and help guide families and their pets through the visit from check-in to check-out.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication, teamwork with veterinary staff, and providing positive patient experiences. Prior customer service helpful; ability to lift is not required but you must enjoy working with people and pets.

Qualifications

• At least one year of proven past experience helping customers.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Compassion for pets and people as well as awareness of others’ reactions.
• Proven decision-making skills to choose the best action.
• Ability to integrate new information into problem solving.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work around pets and related hazards.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors, answering phones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Liaison between client and medical team.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound follow-up and outreach calls.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services (including prescriptions).
• Screening emergency and specialty patients.
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
• Liaison between client and medical team
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
• Screening emergency patients and incoming specialty patients
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
• Unlimited growth and promotions potential!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least one year of proven past experience helping customers
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Compassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions
• Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action
• The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste

PAY RANGE: $16-$17 an hour based on experience
