SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
The Client Service Coordinator ("CSC") manages the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary team, ensures effective communication with clients and associates, and coordinates care in a friendly, welcoming manner to encourage client retention and referrals.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and managing client flow to ensure excellent care and team productivity.
- Maximize the number of pets seen by maintaining an efficient hospital operation, supporting wellness plan clients.
- Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service, including welcoming clients and pets, ensuring comfort, and educating about pet health.
- Educate clients on Wellness Plans, preventative care, and hospital services.
- Assist incoming clients with documentation, pet information entry, and prompt service.
- Assist outgoing clients with instructions, invoices, prescriptions, retail sales, and appointment scheduling.
- Manage finances accurately, including opening and closing procedures.
- Perform administrative functions as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to work long periods at a computer.
- Comfort around various pets (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc.).
- Work hours may exceed 40 hours/week, including weekends and evenings.
- Exposure to pets that may bite or scratch, as well as anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old for radiography duties.
- One year of related experience, customer service preferred.
- Medical background and terminology training preferred.

The pay range for this role is $15.00 - $18.69 per hour. The specific rate depends on experience, skills, education, location, and applicable laws.
