Holmes Murphy & Associates is seeking a Client Service Consultant for the Architects & Engineers team. Location options include Peoria, IL; Waukee, IA; Kansas City, MO; or Madison, WI.

The role focuses on leading client meetings, renewals, and high-touch service for complex accounts. You will coordinate with carriers, prepare proposals, and ensure accuracy across policies and schedules, while supporting client retention and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of customer service experience in insurance.
• Active state Property & Casualty license or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
• Strong consultative and communication skills to engage clients.

Responsibilities

Client Service Consultant – Architects & Engineers

Location – Peoria, IL; Waukee, IA; Kansas City, MO; or Madison, WI.

We are looking to add a Client Service Consultant to join our Architects & Engineers team in a forward‑thinking, innovative, and vibrant company culture, with opportunities to broaden your skills.

Essential Responsibilities

• Attend insurance carrier meetings and independently lead client meetings as required.
• Work accounts from start to finish, with some support from a Client Service Specialist or a Senior Client Service Consultant for larger, more complex accounts.
• Consult with the team for pre‑renewal meetings on qualifying accounts and develop client opportunities.
• Market renewal policies and negotiate with insurance company underwriters.
• Review quotes for accuracy and prepare proposal documents for clients.
• Ensure account and policy accuracy by keeping all customer information and carrier‑received items current, including coverage schedules, policies, endorsements, and audits.
• Prepare client renewal documents and store them in the agency management system (e.g., PSR, schedules, applications, experience modification worksheet, loss runs and summary).

Qualifications

• Education: High‑school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of customer service experience, underwriting or risk management in the insurance industry.
• Licensing: Active state‑specific Property & Casualty Insurance agent’s license required, or ability to acquire within three months of hire.
• Technical Competencies: Applies insurance principles to consult with clients, contributes to workflows and processes, uses agency systems to deliver world‑class client experience, and ensures compliance.
