Job summary

SGS is seeking a client-focused liaison to connect clients, laboratory management, and department personnel. You will resolve client service issues and provide technical support to laboratory staff and clients, ensuring timely responses and high service quality.

Responsibilities include setting up new client accounts in LIMS, maintaining documentation, and tracking client data while monitoring for compliance with ISO 17025 standards.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Food Science, Microbiology or related field; or equivalent work experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Effective problem prevention and problem-solving skills required.
• Written and verbal communication skills necessary across multiple disciplines.

• Communicate results problems and discrepancies to clients and follow through to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Track and trend client data as required.
• Identify client concerns, complaints, and trends and recommend changes to accommodate client needs.

• Maintain records of all client communications and requirements.
• Notify laboratory of special client requirements and monitor for compliance.
• Ensure compliance to ISO 17025 standards are maintained.

Job Description

Act as a liaison or contact between clients, laboratory management and department personnel. Also responsible for providing resolution to client service issues and technical support to laboratory personnel and clients.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Required
• Proficiency with LIMS and Client Portal systems Required
• Ability to interact with clients, affiliates, and employees effectively while maintaining a professional and pleasant work approach even under stressful conditions Required
• 1+ years of laboratory experience Required
