Client Relationship Representative (Universal Banker)

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative to join our team! This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality customer service by accurately completing bank transactions and suggesting products and services to meet customers' financial needs. We support you to exceed sales and service goals while delivering a meaningful customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to banking transactions, inquiries, and resolving issues to meet customer needs, fostering loyalty and advocacy.
• Contribute to banking center operations by balancing cash, transactions, vault, and ATM, ensuring compliance and security policies are followed, and assisting with opening/closing procedures.
• Participate actively in a sales environment by selling bank products, making referrals, and engaging in meetings and coaching sessions.
• Lead and support staff through training, coaching, and participating in sales and service activities, ensuring policies are followed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 6 months of experience selling products or services.
• At least 1 year of sales, banking, or related experience.
• S.A.F.E. Act Registration via NMLS within 3 months of hire.
• Notary Public designation within 12 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior banking experience.
• Ability to sell and cross-sell bank products and services.
