Client Relationship Representative (Universal Banker)

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative to join our team! This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality customer service by accurately and efficiently completing bank transactions and suggesting products and services to meet the financial needs of customers. We support you to exceed personal sales and service goals while delivering a meaningful customer experience.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing excellent customer service, including responding to banking requests, resolving inquiries with solutions, and building customer loyalty.
• Contributing to banking center operations by balancing cash, transactions, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
• Selling bank products, making referrals, and participating in sales activities and meetings.
• Training, coaching, and leading by example in sales and operational procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of experience selling products or services.
• One year of sales, banking, or related experience.
• S.A.F.E. Act Registration via NMLS (to be completed within 3 months of hire).
• Notary Public designation within 12 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior banking experience.
• Ability to cross-sell bank products.
