Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Client Relationship Manager III to serve as the primary contact for national clients, ensuring strong relationships and long-term retention. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Communications, or related field; 6+ years in client relationship/account management, national accounts or enterprise-level roles.
  • 3+ years of managing complex client relationships and cross-functional initiatives; experience with fleet operations, transportation, or automotive services preferred.

Company Cox Automotive - USA Job Family Group Customer Care Group Job Profile Client Relationship Manager III Management Level Individual Contributor Flexible Work Option Hybrid - Ability to work remotely part of the week Travel % Yes, 5% of the time Work Shift Day Compensation Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $67,100.00 - $100,700.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned national clients, ensuring strong relationships, client satisfaction, and long-term retention.
  • Deliver high-touch, white-glove service with a strong operational focus to consistently meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain client programs, services, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in operations, collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams to effectively address client needs.
  • Lead client and cross-functional calls, providing clear communication, operational updates, and alignment on priorities.
  • Proactively communicate operational status updates, service enhancements, and product improvements to clients.
  • Coordinate and manage resolution of critical client issues, ensuring transparency and communication from issue discovery through remediation.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and identify service deficiencies, process gaps, and operational risks.
  • Review existing processes and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and overall client experience.
  • Ensure adherence to established procedural controls, performance metrics, and reporting standards.
Education & Experience

Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 6+ years of experience in client relationship management, account management, fleet operations, customer success, operations management, or a related field. 3+ years of experience managing complex client relationships, national accounts, or enterprise-level customers. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders to deliver operational and client-focused solutions. Experience analyzing operational and financial data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive business outcomes. Fleet management, transportation, automotive, logistics, or commercial services industry experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting national or multi-location clients in a business-to-business (B2B) environment.
  • Demonstrated success developing operational processes, SOPs, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency with CRM platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
