Job summary

Western Alliance Bank in Houston, TX is seeking a Client Relationship Manager I to manage client relationships and ensure exemplary service. The role supports new business conversations, drives product efficiency projects, and may lead other business initiatives with client service associates on deals such as CLOs and Leverage Finance facilities.

You will partner with business development officers to maintain Corporate Trust client relationships and ensure alignment with policy.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of related experience in Corporate Trust or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • May require up to 25% travel.

Job Title:

Client Relationship Manager I

What you'll do:

As a Client Relationship Manager I you'll be responsible for managing client relationships and ensuring excellent client service and delivery to the client base. You'll drive product efficiency projects and may lead other business-related projects. You'll work closely with new business development staff, serving as a collaborative business partner when supporting new business conversations with existing or prospective clients. You'll be assigned clients that are managing CLO's and Leverage Finance Facilities. You'll also be overseeing the day to day operations and reporting delivery to those clients done with the client service associates assigned to your deals.

In partnership with business development officers, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Corporate Trust clients with the primary focus of managing the value of these relationships to the organization. Review and accept new client relationships based on business line account acceptance policies and procedures.

Provide quality service based on client needs, wants, and expectations; align actions accordingly; remain sensitive and responsive to both internal and external clients; build exceptional predictable levels of service; resolve problems quickly and effectively. Identify business risks and operational challenges and take steps to mitigate risk and enhance operating systems and processes. Coordinate the development and implementation of operational changes within the unit. May be responsible for meeting specific revenue, new business, and expense goals.

Review client reporting and work with clients and other interested parties on any issues or changes needed. Provide clients required information. Respond to all queries from interested parties.

Compensation:

Salary range for new hires is generally $107,395.00 - $132,661.00 for Bloomington, MN. Salary range for new hires is generally $115,435.00 - $142,595.00 for Boston, MA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
