Job summary

Talbots, located in Columbia, MD, is seeking a customer-focused associate to join our store team. The role emphasizes hospitality, clienteling, and relationship-building with local customers and the community.

You will support service initiatives, hit sales and service metrics, and help drive traffic by sharing fashion trends and product knowledge. Flexible schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays; average weekly hours 20–29.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused, able to build relationships with clients and community
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Team-oriented and capable of working in a diverse environment
• Flexible to evenings, weekends, holidays and 20–29 hours per week
• Able to lift at least 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Create and foster a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer experiences and build enduring relationships
• Support service enhancers to build strong client relationships including Concierge usage
• Achieve sales and service metrics in key areas such as Clientelling/Outreach and appointments
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet customer and business needs
• Share product knowledge and fashion trends to wardrobe and inspire customers
• Participate in community/store events to promote the Talbots brand
• Represent the brand image professionally
