Job summary

Renew Health + Recovery in Indiana is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist to deliver in-home addiction treatment (IHAT) within clients' homes and communities.

You will collaborate with the treatment team, independently manage caseloads and appointments, submit timely EMR documentation, and mentor new staff.

Applicants must have a Peer Recovery Specialist license and at least 2 years of lived recovery experience, with a willingness to work nights or weekends as needed in the Kokomo area.

Qualifications

• Reside within 30 miles of Kokomo, IN.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Minimum 2 years of lived recovery experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CAC, DARC, RCA, CPRS, CRSW or equivalent peer recovery license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Renew Health + Recovery's IHAT program within clients' homes and community environments.

• Mentor new employees as assigned
• Be open to working nights and weekends as required
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Job description

Peer Recovery Specialist license is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver Renew Health + Recovery's in-home addiction treatment (IHAT) program within the client's home and community environment.


• Collaborate with the addiction treatment team to coordinate individualized, holistic client care


• Independently manages client caseload and appointments


• Submit timely clinical documentation in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system


• Demonstrate understanding of stages of change and ability to incorporate them into client care


• Provide personal experience and guidance to clients through early and sustained recovery


• Develop wellness recovery action plan (WRAP) with client; coordinate with team regarding treatment planning


• Participate in case review, supervision, team meetings, SWAT, continuing education, and any other meetings identified by the team


• Mentor new employees as assigned


• Must be open and flexible to working nights and weekends, when required


• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must actively reside within a 30-mile radius of the Kokomo, Indiana area.


• Reliable transportation along with a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance


• Minimum of 2 years of lived experience in continuous recovery from any substance use disorder (SUD) and/or personal experience with addiction in family members or loved ones


• High School Diploma/GED required


• CAC , DARC , RCA , CPRS, CRSW, or other state Peer Recovery Specialist license is required
