Job summary

The Client Project Manager will onboard clients, train on products, and act as the primary contact for inquiries and escalations while coordinating with lab operations to meet project timelines.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two years of client-facing experience, with strong organizational and communication

  • 2+ years of customer service or client-facing experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new clients with comprehensive training on products and services and set up client data in LIMS.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships; be primary contact for inquiries and escalations.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins to ensure satisfaction and address needs.
  • Monitor sample progress to keep projects on schedule.
  • Coordinate with lab departments for timely project execution and issue resolution.
  • Provide ongoing education to maximize product/service utilization.
  • Identify churn risks and develop retention strategies with sales/ops teams.
  • Lead project planning with lab ops, sales, and clients; ensure correct pricing and communication.
  • Resolve project issues promptly and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Document status updates and coordinate cross-functional activities; drive continuous improvement.

Client Project Manager Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The salary for this position reflects a variety of factors. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity. Market conditions, budgetary considerations, and organizational compensation guidelines may also influence the final offer.

What You’ll Do
  • Onboard new clients by providing comprehensive training on products and services and accurately setting up client data and profiles in LIMS
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships; serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and escalations
  • Conduct regular client check-ins to ensure satisfaction and proactively address needs
  • Monitor sample progress throughout the lab to ensure project timelines are on track
  • Coordinate with laboratory departments to ensure timely project execution and resolution of issues
  • Provide ongoing education and training to clients to maximize product and service utilization
  • Monitor client health, identify potential churn risks, and develop retention and renewal strategies in partnership with sales and operations
  • Identify upselling and cross-sell opportunities and communicate findings to sales and operations teams - should this be a part of the bullet two above?
  • Lead project planning and timing with lab operations, sales, and clients; ensure accurate setup in LIMS, correct pricing, and clear communication
  • Identify, track, and resolve project issues promptly
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements; incorporate feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Manage end-to-end project communication and coordination, including status reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and project closeout activities (deliverables, client satisfaction, invoicing)
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency through suggestions and active participation as a team member
  • Promote Pace’s mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and staff
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, chemistry, biology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Two (2) years of customer service or client-facing experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
