Job summary

EdgeConneX in New Albany, Ohio is seeking a Project Health & Safety Manager to oversee H&S performance across the New Albany campus and construction handover to operations. You will prevent serious incidents, apply standards, conduct site audits, and drive corrective actions onsite every weekday.

You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Security, Construction, and customers to develop emergency plans, track leading/lagging metrics, and deliver regional safety dashboards for leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in safety/engineering discipline.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive health & safety experience across multiple sites.
• Experience in hyperscale data center safety is a plus.
• Ability to lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions to closure.

Title: Project Health & Safety Manager, New Albany, Ohio

Location: New Albany, Ohio

The Project Health & Safety Manager, New Albany is accountable for Health & Safety performance across EdgeConneX’s New Albany, Ohio campus. This role owns the prevention of serious incidents, consistent application of standards, and closure of corrective actions across operational sites, offices, and construction handover into steady-state operations. The expectation is to be onsite every weekday.

The candidate hired will take ownership in prevention of serious incidents through high-risk activity management processes, emergency response planning, safety in datacenter operations, and construction/contractor safety. In addition, he or she will be responsible for monitoring risk, recognizing leading and lagging metrics, and developing reports used to drive accountability and corrective action.

This role serves as the senior project manager, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Security, Construction, and key customers. This a hybrid hands-on support and oversight role and serves as the safety support liaison between project delivery teams and the project leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Health & Safety performance across the project
• Implement and maintain EdgeConneX global Health & Safety programs, standards, and procedures.
• Serve as the primary Health & Safety point of contact for EdgeconneX and the end users, during all construction activities and into RFS (Ready for Service)
• Drive prevention of serious incidents through high-risk activity management, permit-to-work, and field presence.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance with OSHA, local regulations, company standards, and customer requirements.
• Lead incident notification, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Maintain regular site presence to support operational alignment and oversight.
• Maintain oversight of OSHA logs, regulatory filings, and required safety documentation.
• Monitor leading and lagging indicators, trend data, and site performance to drive accountability and corrective action.
• Develop and deliver regional safety metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Support internal, external, and customer-driven audits, including evidence collection and closure tracking.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to develop, maintain, and test Emergency Action Plans.
• Ensure Health & Safety requirements are embedded into SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, MTAs, and emergency drills.
• Provide subject matter expertise for operational and construction-related safety risks.
• Own regional corrective action closure, ensuring findings from incidents, audits, and inspections are resolved, verified, and not repeated.
• Engage with regulatory agencies as required and manage related correspondence.
• Drive a standardized and consistent Health & Safety approach in line with state and federal regulations.

Experience/Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Health & Safety, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience supporting multiple sites (operations and construction interface within critical infrastructure or industrial environments.
• Candidates with a strong understanding of the Data Center risk profile; direct experience leading health & safety within a hyperscale data center are highly encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations and driving corrective actions to verified closure across a distributed portfolio.
• Experience building and operating practical Health & Safety management systems (audits, training compliance, metrics, and action tracking).

The Pay Range For This Role Is

125,000 - 140,000 USD per year(CMH01)
