Job summary

Ares is seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager within Client Platforms to coordinate strategic technology initiatives across Sales, Marketing, Client Reporting, and Digital/Web platforms.

The role reports to the Vice-President, Senior Project Manager and interacts with engineering, architecture, product, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver on time, within scope, and with transparency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years managing complex enterprise technology projects or programs.
• Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional initiatives in matrixed organizations.
• Deep understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and project management best practices.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proactive risk management.
• Experience presenting to senior executives and running steering committees.
• Experience within asset management, financial services, or capital markets preferred.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or similar tools preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Job Description

Ares is seeking an Associate to serve as a Project Manager within Client Platforms, the engineering team responsible for all Client facing systems within Ares, including Sales, Marketing, Client Reporting, and Digital/Web platforms. Reporting to the Vice-President, Senior Project Manager, this person supports the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives, coordinating project activities, maintaining delivery plans, tracking dependencies, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and providing accurate reporting to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and with high quality. This role serves as a point of coordination across engineering, architecture, product, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure strategic initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with complete transparency.

The successful candidate brings a proven track record of consistently delivering strategic initiatives with predictable execution. They create transparency for leadership, effectively manage complex dependencies, anticipate and mitigate risks before they impact delivery, and build trusted partnerships across technology and business teams. The candidate should have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the leadership presence to influence senior stakeholders across engineering and the business. This role demands both strategic thinking and a pragmatic focus.

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $145,000 - $150,000. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
